To upload files to the Media Library, mouse over Media Library in the top navigation bar and select “Upload” from the drop down menu. This will launch a separate "Upload New Media" window. There are four steps in the uploading process, however the first three steps are optional. If you choose to skip these steps you can assign Categories, Credits and Tags to your media after the files have been uploaded.
1 - Select a Category: From the drop down menu, select a Category to upload to.
2 - Assign Credits: This section displays Credits associated with the Category you chose in step 1. You can assign credit values here.
3 - Add Tags: This allows you to add tags to your media to make content more searchable. Think of Tags as Keywords that you can use to find media.
4 - Upload Media Files: To upload files you can simply drag and drop files from either your finder or desktop to the "Drop Files Here" target in the Upload New Media window. Alternatively, you can click the gray "Select Files" button to open your finder and select files that you want to upload. Then click on the blue “Upload Files” button and the upload process will begin. Your files will upload one at a time and you will see a blue progress bar below each file as it uploads.
Note: Do not close the Upload window before your uploads have completed, as this will terminate the upload.
